One thing many of us learn the hard way is that nothing stops us from aging and declining in both stamina and health. We no longer feel like Superman and invincible. Many factors are attributed to advancing the age process as well as there are factors that slow down aging. For many men, life happens and we begin living in a predictable routine and cycle of work, watching television or playing video games, wasting time on social media and in some other cases having kids will preoccupy us as well. We eat fast food, drink alcohol more than once a week. Before we know it, it catches up to us as we notice weight gain, lack of energy, loss of appetite for sexual relations. This may lead to health problems from heart disease, diabetes and other diseases related to unhealthy life choices.
Our lifestyle choices have a big role in how our body performs and produces the tools needed to live an active healthy lifestyle. As we age testosterone levels begin to drop yearly. We notice the loss of muscle mass, it gets harder to lose weight and our energy levels drop. What can we do to reverse or slow down the process of dropping testosterone levels?
We must first look inside our food pantry and dispose of the junk food and foods that are processed. Foods that are high in sugar, soy and other foods that increase estrogen levels. Excessive use of alcohol not only advances aging, but causes too many health related problems to name here.
Switching to a diet including healthy protein from animal sources is a great way to start on your journey to increasing testosterone levels. Eating healthy fats from sources like avocado, olive oils, nuts and some hard cheese. Limited on cheese. Eating dark green vegetables are a great sources of antioxidants and micronutrients.
Exercising by way of weight training will increase testosterone levels. Starting a weight training regimen by lifting heavy objects will not only increase muscle mass which is needed for healthy aging, but will make you feel and look better within time. Starting can be tough, but by years end, you will thank me. One thing you may notice about men of value is, They emphasize on maintaining there body in good shape. It is not about looking like a professional bodybuilder. Just by having noticeable muscle tone should do. Cardio is also a must for both recovery and keeping blood and heart healthy. I do not recommend hours of cardio. It is a waste of time and will cause the loss of muscle mass gained. Twenty to thirty minutes 4 times a week is more than sufficient. The key is to start and ignore the noise.
Supplements do play a role in many cases when it comes to maintaining testosterone levels. In my case it definitely helps. I will end by naming what is in my stack.
Vitamin D is crucial in testosterone production. So get in the sun and absorb al you can. I do supplement vitamin D and never miss a dose. Low levels of vitamin D have been attributed to low testosterone.
Vitamin C is a great anti inflammatory and a great source for both immune defense keeping the body in optimum shape.
Multivitamins are a great source as an insurance of what may be lacking in our diets.
Many supplements claim to increase testosterone but are really just a waste of money. I have tried many over the years to get little to no effect. But there is one product which has shown positive results for both myself and other acquaintances. The product is Mike Mahler’s Aggressive Strength Testosterone Booster. At mikemahler.com. If you are not training or eating healthy, no supplement will do any miracle for you.
Many men today have been found to be low in testosterone and it is nothing fell shame. If your body is not producing healthy testosterone levels and you are having issues related to having Low testosterone. Than you should consider testosterone replacement therapy. TRT has changed many lives for the better in many cases to name. Maybe one day I may need it down the road.
The last item on the list to maintaining healthy testosterone levels is Sleep. Ignoring adequate sleep will not only drop testosterone, but will age a body faster, recovering from training will be non existent and will raise cortisol levels. Ever notice how people that are out partying and drinking alcohol look older than their current age? Lesson in there.. Turn off everything and get some sleep. Do the work!
Take care..
