I lost 30 pounds on KETO

Just like many men today, Life got in the way with responsibilities, family and working on a career. I worked every odd job, from trades to cleaning and finally ended up as an operations manager for about 20 years. Working long hours while eating fast food and even skipping meals at times. This wreaked havoc on my body and health. It took some bloodwork and my Doctor recommending that I begin using meds for high cholesterol while warning me about signs of prediabetes. I rejected the use of medications and informed him that I would begin training and losing weight. That week I began my new journey/ hobby in becoming a bodybuilder. I followed programs from apps like bodybuilding.com among plans from books and magazines. It wasn’t until I decided to compete in a men’s natural bodybuilding competition that I hired a coach to watch over my plan and work with me as an extra set of eyes. Sometimes we are our worst critics, It helps to have an experienced coach to work on flaws and adjustments while tweaking the diet. As long as we are willing to put in the work. We tried many diets, but my body would just not drop to a the level of lean mass that I was looking to achieve. We tried diets like carb cycling and low carb to name a few. It wasn’t until we decided to go with the Keto diet that we saw the progress that I was looking to get. I learned that I would gain weight easily when I consumed carbohydrates. My carbohydrates were slow digesting carbs, not to confuse with processed, sugary garbage that most people eat. My weight began to drop at a slow pace as we planned. Losing no more than two pounds of fat per week was the goal in order to preserve as much lean muscle as possible. The results were excellent. So, whether people have goals to just lose weight and be healthy or get stage lean. Keto is a great choice for weight loss, among other benefits. As long as you are using healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, coconut oils, etc.

Another change that I noticed was the anti-inflammatory benefits. My joint pains just vanished while on the ketogenic diet.

So, whether you are looking to dropping weight or looking at getting to a low body mass index, Ketogenic Diets are worth a try. Below I will write a sample of daily meal plan. Keep in mind, the following diets is for someone who is on some form of training program. This was my start up plan from my coach. Everyone is different. Weight, goals and health status has much to do when setting up a diet.
